2026 Operating Referendum
Boone County
How to find your Gross Assessed Value:
1. Visit the Boone County Assessor's GIS website and look for your Property Record Card.
2. Refer to your most recent Annual Tax Statement from the County Treasurer. Table 1: Line 1a, 1b or 1c.
Is this a Homestead Property (1%), a 2% Property, or 3% Property?
See Key Below for assistance
1% Properties refer to homesteads
2% Properties refer to farmland, rentals, apartments, and senior living communities
3% Properties refer to commercial properties
Notes:
Real property assessments are adjusted annually due to changes in market conditions. The referenda liability will change in relation to changes in parcel gross assessed values.
Homestead parcels are assumed to have homestead, and supplemental homestead deductions.
For simplicity, local income tax property tax credits and/or over 65 credits have NOT been included in the tax calculator estimate and your actual tax bill may be less than what is estimated in the calculator.
The tax liability is based on an 8 year operating referenda. At the end of the 8 years, the referenda will expire.
The tax liability is projected for the duration of the proposed referenda. The referenda tax liability may change in relation to changes in parcel gross assessed values, impact of deduction changes from Senate Enrolled Act 1, and other potential legislative changes.
The tax liability is based on current parcel assessed values with no growth in assessed values in future years. Actual tax liability will depend on future values of individual parcels.
The tax liability for each individual parcel is a projection only. Actual tax liability for each individual parcel may be understated or overstated due to a variety of variables.
